DERRICK CARTER, THE KING OF BOOMPTY, will be returning to NYC on Saturday, January 16th. One of the all-time greats, Derrick will surely rock the Sullivan Room crowd like only he can! A house music legend, a dancefloor aficionado, and one of the most beloved DJs in the game, Derrick's thumping bag of house and classics will have you dancing until the morning. He's one of Basic NYC's all time fav's. Expect an exceptional warm-up set before Derrick by Smoke City Music's Ab Logic, and Hustle and Flow's Brian Anderson. It has been over a year since these guys have been back to rock the Sully, and based on past performances it will have been well worth the wait!!!! Basic's ledgendary Sleepy & Boo will close out the night wit their signature tech-house flavors taking the dedicated party goers into the wee hours of the morning! Chris Love will get things moving early in the night and is sure to set the stage nicely for the boompty onslaught coming later in the night! Smoke City Music is a transatlantic house music record label, ran by a collective who have roots in New Jersey (USA) (Ab Logic of the Hoodfellas), Washington DC (Axiom of the Hoodfellas) and Huddersfield (Danny White & Ruky of Slum Science/Nonbelievers) (UK). The label’s ever expanding roster covers a range of genres from Deep House to Techno and continues to provide quality underground music to the vinyl and digital market. A sister label to Hudd Traxx, Smoke City Music has so far released work from revered artists such as Inland Knights, DJ Sneak, Kinky Movement, Mihai Popoviciu/Jay Bliss/ToyGUN, JT Donaldson, and more, as well as in house projects from Non Believers/Slum Science and The Hoodfellas.
